Disease Brill
Brill’s disease or Disease Brill is a relapse of epidemic typhus that appears years after the initial onset of the disease and is regarded as a sporadic disease showing without a clear source of infection, patients in this group deny any possible contact with patchy lice and/or mice (diseased rodents such as Lice and mice are believed to be the main source of human typhus contamination, such pets have patchy to generalized hair loss, scaly and/or red skin). Disease Brill occurs milder than typhus, and is characterized by high titers of antibodies in the early days of the disease (antibody immunoglobulin class G).
