Equipoise 250 (Boldenone 250, 1,4-androstadiene-3-one-17β-ol, Boldenone Undecylenate or EQ 250) is the increasingly popular brand name for boldenone undecylenate, an injectable anabolic-androgenic steroid developed by MEDCOI Pharmaceutical, to be a form of long-lasting anabolic steroid with prolonged half-life. It is a structurally altered form of testosterone often used to gain weight, strength, power, aggressiveness, speed, and endurance. Description

Boldenone (Equipoise, 1,4-androstadiene-3-one-17β-ol, Boldenone Undecylenate or EQ) is an injectable anabolic steroid with relatively long duration of action, effects may persist for up to 8 weeks after cessation of use. It is a structurally altered form of testosterone, with a low androgenic potency. Boldenone undecylenate was found accidentally while trying to create an injectable form of methandrostanolone with prolonged half-life.  Equipoise steroid was originally developed by CIBA as a veterinary injectable steroid for use in horses. Its purpose was to bulk up the horses with additional muscle mass and power; however, EQ 250 gained popularity among bodybuilders and athletes, because it offers superior muscle gain with fewer and less pronounced controllable side effects than many anabolic steroids.

Equipoise is used for both bulking and cutting steroid cycle, it is recommended when an improvement in weight or general physical condition is desired. Boldenone Steroid Side Effects

The following problems may arise, particularly when higher doses are taken:

Acne – in the body 5-alpha reductase (an enzyme) acts on Boldenone and transforms it to 1-testosterone, which is a relatively strong steroid; however, the binding rate between SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin) and EQ is much lower than that with testosterone, which means the half-life of EQ is less than that of testosterone, whereas the concentration of free EQ is higher than that of free testosterone in serum plasma. Moreover, EQ can cause mild androgenic side effects such as greasy skin, acne, increased aggression and baldness, but these side effects remain extremely rare, because binding to glucocorticoid or progesterone receptors is not typical. Saying so, boldenone may rarely cause acne, but the incidence of acne on the chest, back and shoulder remains possible especially in people with tendency to acne.

Aromatization, water retention, and gynecomastia – the structure of boldenone allows it to convert into estrogen; however, the estrogenic activity of this hormone derivative is low because it is metabolized to 1,4 dienedione, which is a strong aromatase inhibitor, and thus the estrogenic side effects of using EQ are mild-to-moderate in nature regardless of utilized the dose, yet with increasing dose aromatization occurs more often and athletes can experience relevant side effects such as bloating, water retention, gynecomastia, depression, and irritation. It is common to use an aromatase inhibitor (AI) or SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator) to suppress estrogen while on cycle.

High blood pressure – Boldenone stimulates the release of erythropoietin in the kidneys, which is healthy during short-term consumption; however, higher doses and prolonged utilization of EQ may lead to over increased hemoglobin and hematocrit levels, which in turn can lead to increased blood pressure, palpitations, increased heartbeat and shortness of breath.

High cholesterol – higher doses and prolonged utilization of Boldenone may suppress HDL (high density lipoprotein), which is necessary to reduce the risk of heart disease, as it removes harmful bad cholesterol from the bloodstream; however, a sugar free diet and avoiding saturated fats can greatly reduce this risk.

Suppression of endogenous testosterone production – higher doses and prolonged utilization of Boldenone may suppress the production of endogenous testosterone, a condition that may not reverse itself after discontinuation of the product.

Virilization in women – some women can experience hirsutism, hoariness, and clitoromegaly, making EQ a relatively bad steroid to use for a female. Moreover, athletes that are occasionally checked for drugs should keep away from this steroid, because of its prolonged duration of action; however, immediate discontinuation of this steroid after the early onset of symptoms is enough to release the symptoms in most cases, but continued usage can lead to chronic permanent changes.

Accelerated male pattern baldness– higher doses and prolonged utilization of EQ can accelerate the process; however, boldenone won’t cause baldness.

Sexual dysfunction – higher doses and prolonged utilization of EQ can cause sexual dysfunction; however, this can be controlled by stacking with other compounds.

Boldenone may cause anxiety and flu like symptoms.

Speed of Results – EQ is a slow but steady hormone derivative known to stimulate the growth of solid muscle mass; however, as with any anabolic, the desired results are felt only after a few weeks because of its long half-life. Common Stacking Techniques
